Inept Governments And Personal Details.

The Child Benefit Agency has lost the personal details of every parent who receives child benefit, including names, addresses, dates of birth, national insurance numbers, child benefit numbers and bank accounts.
As a result, 25 million people are now vulnerable to identity fraud.

This means that whoever has the disks has more than enough information to commit identity fraud, obtain a fake passport, access bank accounts and other crimes I don't even know the name of.

This isn't even the first case of details being stolen or handled carelessly by our government.Earlier this month, the BBC reported that a CD containing the personal details of thousands of Standard Life pension holders had gone missing, leaving them at risk too.

This is the same government that wants to put our health details on a "secure?" central database available to all health workers from health visitors to community nurses to hospitals.

The same government that wants us all to have identity cards that store all our details thus the details will also be stored on yet another database.

This government is inept at best (I wont go into the many, many examples because if I did this post would end up 6 foot long). I don't trust this government to keep my details secure, in fact I wouldn't trust them to run a piss up in a brewery. It would be too big an achievement and would take a modicum of logic or common sense that it does not possess.
